DeX (Digital Experience) is a Shopify-style commerce platform built for Syria. One platform hosts many independent merchant stores, each on its own subdomain, with a bilingual Arabic/English storefront, Syrian-Pound pricing, and cash-on-delivery and ShamCash checkout.
1. Project Summary
DeX lets any Syrian merchant open an online store on yourstore.dex.sy without technical skills, and manage products, orders, customers and inventory from a single dashboard.
2. Three Experiences
Platform console: marketing site CMS, branding, subscription plans and merchant oversight.
Merchant admin: products, orders, customers, inventory, discounts, settings and store theming.
Storefront: browsing, search, cart, guest checkout, order tracking, reviews and customer accounts.
3. Built for Syria
Full Arabic and English support with right-to-left layouts.
Prices in Syrian Pounds with ar-SY localization.
Cash on delivery and ShamCash payments, with no account required to place an order.
4. Technologies Used
Next.js and React frontend serving every store, admin and the platform console.
Node.js and Express REST API with MongoDB.
Strict tenant isolation, passkey login and plan-limit enforcement.
